Insanely beautiful — a former palace right on the Grand Canal. A real splurge/upgrade. We used points last time for what has to be the best hotel room we've ever stayed in — the Somerset Maugham Royal Suite.
No longer a Marriott property — they had an amazing breakfast buffet, as I recall.
